About the Grand Renovation

As an indispensable construction for God’s Divine Program, Meishu-sama built Shinsen-kyo as a prototype of paradise on earth in Gora of Hakone, a land designated by God. Then, he disclosed an idea of “building a main temple” at Komyo-dai, the spiritual center of the world.

In greeting the new era of Reiwa in Japan, together with its umbrella organization, Sekai Kyusei Kyo, Toho-no-Hikari has started a full-scale effort to be united with the heart of the Meishu-sama behind the construction of Hakone. That is to advance toward the construction of Komyo Kaikan starting from the restoration of Shinsen-kyo prototype and the construction of the Sorei-den (tentative name for the ancestral hall).

We sincerely ask for your understanding and support.

Renovation project of each facility in Shinsen-kyo

As for Shinsen-kyo, in seeking the appearance of a prototype of paradise on earth that suits Meishu-sama’s heart, we will proceed with the construction to restore it to the original appearance that was directly constructed and completed by Meishu-sama.

With regards to Nikko-den, it has been repaired repeatedly since its original construction in 1949 and its expansion in 1951. However, its major roof, which is the Japanese Kokera shake roof, has been deteriorated over time and has been severely damaged by strong typhoons.

As for Sangetsu-an tea house, 70 years have passed since it was built in 1950, and many parts of it have been damaged over time. In particular, the 2015 swarm earthquakes of Hakone damaged the walls and foundations, and the strong typhoon caused damage to the its Kokera shake roof and the thatched roof and walls.

In order to repair these parts, we have set up a covered house for the construction work and preparing various materials and planning its procedure followed by the actual repair works.

Construction project of Sorei-den (tentative name for the ancestral hall)

As for Sorei-den (ancestral hall), we are finally moving toward the construction of a new facility due to the deterioration and the need for its expansion of the present Sorei-sha (Shibikyu ancestral shrine) in Hakone, where we conduct our ancestral services now.

We want to construct this facility in order to respond to the request of all the people who want their ancestors to participate in God’s Divine Program of salvation and construction by elevating their spiritual level in the spiritual world regardless of the existence of their faith and the religious groups they belong.

The construction site was decided on the line connecting the highest Mt. Kamiyama in the Hakone mountain range, which was revealed to be the center of the world by Meishu-sama, Okutsuki (mausoleum) of Meishu-sama, and Shinsen-kyo/Hakone Museum of Art.

Constructions related to Komyo Kaikan

Regarding the Komyo Kaikan, Meishu-sama has shown a concrete plan such as its shape and scale. However, since there are regulations to overcome in order to realize this; therefore, it still takes time. Yet, when seeking the teaching that “when the Honzan [Head Temple] is constructed, we will become international,” in the midst of the great era of purification, more so, we need to be imbued in our soul with the global significance of the construction of Komyô Kaikan that affects the destiny of humanity and do our very best in advancing the construction.

In light of ever-increasing significance of Gomenkai (meeting with Meishu-sama), we will begin the renovation of the temporary Komyo Kaikan as a first step, so that we will be allowed to have Gomenkai worthy of receiving Meishu-sama’s light where we can place ourselves in a higher spiritual atmosphere.
